"Play Your Part"

"While we are waiting for God to work for us, God is waiting to work through us" --Rick Warren

This is one of the passages that truly stuck out to me in the spirit while reading "The Purpose Driven Church" by Rick Warren. Here Pastor Warren is teaching that we all have a role to play in our walk with God. This passage has more to do with just building your church to be stronger and healthier, but this is true when it comes to our personal lives as well. I have heard and used the following saying more times than I can count "I'm just waiting on God to move". Now, there is nothing wrong with that statement at all. The issue with that statement comes when it is not being made out of faith but when it is used as a tool to hide fear.
Especially, when we have come to the realization that it was our flesh that put us in that situation, and when our own acts has failed to get us out. However, even when we were the ones who got our own selves in the situation must remain in tune and sensitive to God's voice, staying forever obedient and faithful to it. Sometimes God's allows a situation to touch our lives to reveal Himself to us in a different way by working through us. In order for us to receive that it takes the operation or combining juncture of faith and obedience.

The truth of the matter is that we can stagnate ourselves by always waiting for God to work for us when the time comes for God to work through us. Do not allow fear and passivity to have you miss the ordained assignment or purpose God has given you. Be sensitive enough to know when God is telling you to wait on Him and not your flesh scaring you. Operate with the combination of faith and obedience and remember "Wherever God guides, he provides."--Rick Warren

Be blessed and as always Be ENCOURAGED!!!!!!
